(Chemical) Bonding is what makes life possible

Claudio Fernandes is a granted PhD Student (FCT/MCTES: PRT/BD/154656/2023) enrolled in the Chemical and Biological Engineering doctoral program at NOVA FCT. Throughout his academic career, he published 5 articles in journals; organized 4 event(s); participated in 10 event(s) and Co-supervised 1 work(s) of course completion of BSc. He has a very comprehensive knowledge of Deep Eutectic Systems (DES), acquired over more than 5 years of experience. His research has been mainly focused either on the design and selection of these solvents for specific tasks, such as the replacement of toxic solvents in the different fields (e.g. conservation and restoration) or on their physicochemical characterization using various experimental techniques (e.g. density, viscosity, FT-IR, polarities, etc.), as well as use different computational models to estimate the Hansen Solubility Parameters and other thermodynamic parameters.
