IM received her Degree in Chemical Engineering from IST in 1974. Master in Physical Inorganic Chem. in 1977and her PHD from UNL in 1981. Assistant Professor 81/86 in the UNL. Since1986 Associate Professor at UNL. Habilitation in 94 and Full Prof. in 97 at UNL.Visiting Professor in U. of Geogia,USA. From 2000/11 she was the Head of the Chem. Dep.of FCT/UNL and the Director of the LAQV. Main work is Structure-Function of Metalloproteins. Application of biochemical and spectroscopic tools (NMR, EPR and Mössbauer). Proteins involved in N and S Biocycles. Active sites includes Cu, Co, hemes, Fe-S centers as well as association of Fe-S centers with Mo, W, Ni, siroheme and flavines. New type of clusters and new metal associations.Publ 430, H=59
