José Soares graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences at FFUP in 2011 and is currently a PhD student at FFUP. His research activity have been focused on the synthesis and characterization of semiconductors quantum dots and carbon dots to be exploited in the development of chemiluminescence and photoluminescence-based methodologies for the monitoring of a myriad of analytes with environmental, pharmaceutical and food interest. His have been also focused on the organic synthesis and ADMET profiling.
