Brígida R. Pinho completed the Integrated Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2009 at the Faculty of Pharmacy of University of Porto. In the same institution, Brígida concluded her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2014 with the thesis: “Naphthoquinones and ubiquinone analogues’ biological activities: Modulation of immune and neurological systems”. After her PhD, Brígida worked as a research fellow and as a postdocal researcher in projects related to mitochondria and neurodegeneration. Currently, Brígida is a Junior Researcher at REQUIMTE since 2018 and her scientific interests have been focused in mechanisms of neurodegeneration particularly involving mitochondrial function and proteostasis.
