João A.V. Prior (JP), ORCID 0000-0002-6961-345X, is appointed as Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy at University of Porto and a researcher at the Associated Laboratory for Green Chemistry/Network of Chemistry and Technology (LAQV/REQUIMTE). JP obtained a PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry in 2005, involving the development of new sustainable analytical methodologies based in flow analysis concepts. His current interests include nanotechnology and nanomaterials, namely quantum dots and noble metal-based nanoparticles. His main work is the optimization of nanoparticles synthesis accordingly with Green Chemistry goals, by exploiting environmentally friendly chemical products, processes and design of experiments.
