There are many areas of interest, from the infinitely large to the vastness of the void.
Professor in the chemical engineering department at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto, conducts research on the use of nanotechnologies applied to health.
It is involved in projects of environmental sustainability, in order to reach social sustainability. The most recent project is the implementation of hydroponic and aquaponics systems in tall buildings within cities.
