Mariana Barbosa is a Researcher at Laboratory of Glycoimmunology from FCT NOVA, and Member of the “NanoImmunoTech” group of REQUIMTE/UCIBIO. She is (co)-author of 17 articles published in international peer-reviewed journals and author of a book chapter in Encyclopedia of Marine Biotechnology. Her research has been presented at several conferences, also acting as reviewer in international journals. She has been actively involved in the supervision and tutoring of undergraduate students, also participating in research projects, and outreach activities. Her research activity has been mainly focused on the pre-clinical development of innovative class of drugs for managing and understanding disease processes.
