Maria João Ramalhosa has a Ph.D. (2011) in analytical chemistry from the University of Porto. She is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the School of Engineering of the Polytechnic of Porto (Portugal) and a permanent researcher at REQUIMTE–LAQV (http://www.requimte.pt/laqv/). Her current research interests are environmental chemistry, food chemistry, food science, green chemistry, liquid chromatography, analytical chemistry, and sample preparation. She has co-authored several papers (ORCID: 0000-0002-1951-3557; Scopus ID 35488836000) in journals with impact factors and several book chapters. She has also supervised MSc and post-doctoral students and she has participated in several projects.
