Sofia F. Reis (SFR) is a Junior Researcher of Yeast4FoodMed project at REQUIMTE-LAQV based in Chemistry Department of University of Aveiro (UA). Before this position, SFR was a postdoc researcher (2016-2019) in a consortium between REQUIMTE-LAQV and cork industry (Amorim & Irmãos) based in the Faculty of Science of the University of Porto (FCUP). Obtained her PhD in 2015 at Dublin Institute of Technology, in the College of Sciences and Health at the School of Food Science & Environmental Health. Completed her MPhil in 2006 and was graduated in Chemistry, Biochemistry and Food Chemistry specialization, in 2002, both from UA. SFR research interest is the use of green chemistry for the valorisation of industry by-products into nutraceuticals.
