Researcher
Rui Miguel Ramos graduated in Chemistry at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP) in 2010, completed a Master's in Chemistry (FCUP) in 2012 and a PhD in Sustainable Chemistry in 2017 from the University of Porto and New University of Lisbon. Since April 2019 he is a researcher at REQUIMTE/LAQV, contracted with a junior research grant within the First Individual Call to Scientific Employment Stimulus by FCT. Since January 2022, he is the Principal Investigator (PI) of a R&D Project funded by FCT (ref. PTDC/CTM-PAM/1348/2021). His research has been focused on the development of greener and simple sample preparation methodologies for liquid and solid samples and the determination of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in foods (e.g. beverages, cheese) and industrial products (wood-based panels, cork-agglomerated panels, cosmetics).
