Joana Amaral is Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, integrated member of CIMO and collaborator member of REQUIMTE-LAQV. She has a degree and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2006). She has 67 Scopus articles (h-index 27), 13 book chapters, >100 communications, Editor of 6 books/abstract books, Section Editor-in-Chief of journal Foods, principal researcher of 5 national and 1 FCT Bilateral cooperation projects, participates in other 19 projects, including 2 H2020-BBI projects and 1 COST action. Her research interests are related to food authenticity, nutraceutical and bioactive compounds in foods, food by-products and natural products, essential oils characterization and bioactivity of natural products.
