Position
Researcher
Ricardo Páscoa completed his degree in Microbiology at ESB/UCP in 2005, a master’s degree in Environmental Analytical Chemistry at FFUP in 2006 and a PhD in Biotechnology/Chemistry at ESB/UCP in 2011. After his PhD, he pursued a Post-PhD in Analytical Chemistry and Chemometrics at FFUP. Since 2018, he has been working as a researcher in LAQV/REQUIMTE at FFUP through a FCT program (DL57/2016 – Norma Transitória). His research has focused on using vibrational spectroscopy techniques, namely NIR, MIR and Raman, coupled with chemometrics (multivariate data analysis), to develop environmentally friendly, inexpensive and rapid analytical techniques that can be applied in-situ in the agro-pharmaceutical-food industry. Recently, he has been coupling chemometric models with QDs applications based on fluorescence signals for the selective and accurate quantification of several analytes of interest.
