Diana André holds a degree in Biochemistry (2022) and a Master’s degree in Biochemistry with a specialization in Clinical Biochemistry (2024) from the University of Aveiro (UA). Her Master thesis, titled “Understanding the Influence of Caloric Restriction on Testicular Function and Male Fertility: Sirtuins, Acetylation, and Beyond”, was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Pedro F. Oliveira and Dr. Ana D. Martins, and was concluded with a remarkable 20/20 grade.

Currently, Diana is a Ph.D. student of Biochemistry at UA, after having received a grant from the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), under the scope of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU). Diana is developing the project, under the supervision of Prof. Pedro F. Oliveira and Prof. Marco G. Alves from the Departments of Chemistry (DQ) and Biomedical Sciences (DCM) from UA, respectively, as well as Dr. Juulia Jylhävä from the University of Tampere (TAU), Finland, where Diana is set to spend a year of her Ph.D. journey.
