Ana Rebelo completed both her Bachelor's (2021) and Master's (2023) degrees in Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the
University of Porto (FEUP). As part of her academic journey, she spent a semester in an exchange program at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague under the Erasmus+ program.
She completed her thesis centered on the “Extraction of antioxidants for food supplementation using aqueous two-phase systems with low environmental impact”, leading to the publication of five scientific articles, two of them as first author.
She contributed as a research fellow on the 2SMART–Engineered Smart Materials for Smart Citizens project. She also held a scientific initiation scholarship under the #Summer@LEPABE project in 2021 and 2022, where she created a comprehensive database of R&D bibliographic indicators for LEPABE members.
She completed the Initial Pedagogical Training for Trainers, earning the Certificate of Pedagogical
Competences (CPC). In addition to her academic and professional pursuits,
she has been an active member of Pint of Science Portugal from 2022 to the present. This association organizes science festivals in informal
settings, such as bars, to promote scientific dialogue and engagement with the public.
She has attended various courses in Project Management, Leadership and Team Management, Persuasion and Influence, Python, MS Project, Digital Marketing, and Coding (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript).
She has worked as a Research and Development Specialist at RAIZ – Forest and Paper Research Institute, part of The Navigator Company, where she explored and developed innovative solutions for the tissue sector.
