Beatriz Monteiro is a researcher with a Master’s degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from NOVA School of Science and Technology. Her research focuses on developing sustainable extraction methods using supercritical CO2 and subcritical water, with applications in biopolymer extraction and bioactive compound recovery. She has been actively involved in European research projects focused on eco-friendly lipid extraction and the recovery of bioplastics. Beatriz’s PhD work will focus on the sustainable valorization of industrial coffee by-products using subcritical water, contributing to advancements in green technologies.
