Amélia C.F. Vieira (PharmD, MSc, PhD) holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology. She is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Coimbra and has been a Researcher at REQUIMTE LAQV Porto, Portugal, since 2023. In 2014, she completed her PhD, focusing on the synthesis and characterization of conjugates of cyclodextrins for targeted drug delivery to the colon. She brings significant experience from her previous role (2014 to 2023) as a formulation scientist in the pharmaceutical industry, During this time, she contributed to the development, validation, and implementation of formulations and processes for a wide range of solid and liquid dosage forms. She is the author or co-author of six scientific papers, two book chapters, and one patent.
Her research and expertise are focused on applying science to create novel drug delivery systems with practical applications in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry.
Combining her academic and pharmaceutical industry experience, she is a valuable asset in pharmaceutical technology.
