Ana Filipa Reis Mendes is currently a Postdoctoral researcher at the associated laboratory LAQV/REQUIMTE at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto. She has a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, in the speciality of Toxicology, from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto (2024). She has a M.Sc. in Analytical, Clinical and Forensic Toxicology from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto (2014) and a B.Sc in Biochemistry (2012) from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto.
Presently, she is a researcher in the project: “Novel tools for exposure assessment of food contaminants by saliva multiple biomarker monitoring”, financed by the Portuguese Foundation of Science and Technology 2022.08978.PTDC in LAQV-REQUIMTE (Rede de Química e Tecnologia), Laboratory of Bromatology and Hidrology, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto.
She made her PhD thesis “Inflammation and disruption of redox homeostasis (but not metabolism) significantly contribute to the cardiotoxic effects of mitoxantrone and doxorubicin: findings from in vitro and in vivo studies conducted on differently aged mice” in UCIBIO-REQUIMTE (Rede de Química e Tecnologia) - Toxicology Laboratory, Department of Biological Sciences, FFUP.
She has several publications in international scientific periodicals with referees (20), abstracts in international scientific periodicals (22), poster/oral communications in international conferences (32), and a H-index of 7.
