(Chemical) Bonding is what makes life possible

I have experience in working with alternative media – subcritical water and supercritical CO2 in the treatment/fractionation/valorization of agro-industrial feedstocks (includes collaboration with UCIBIO on the use of microorganisms for the production of pigments and bio-surfactants), and deep eutectic systems (includes collaboration with UCIBIO on the understanding of the interactions at molecular level in such media) – and on functional materials, namely immobilized enzyme preparations. I am currently interested in materials based on magnetic nanoparticles exhibiting enzyme-like activities (in collaboration with the Materials Science Department). My expertise also enables me to contribute to several aspects of CO2 conversion.
