Vitor Rosa obtained a DEUG in Life Sciences at Tours University in 1996 and a license degree in Applied Chemistry – Organic Chemistry domain at Universidade Nova de Lisboa in 2000. Realized his European PhD in Inorganic Chemistry in 2008 under the supervision of Prof. Teresa Avilés at UNL. After his PhD he realized a post doctoral at the University of Strasbourg working in the LCC laboratory under the supervision of Dr. Pierre Braunstein. During his career of 15 years, he published 31 peer-reviewed papers, having more than 700 citations with an h-index of 17. His current domains of research are Coordination Chemistry of copper, silver and zinc complexes applied to catalysis or as sensors.
