I am a conservation scientist with a PhD on the conservation of polyurethane. I have 9 years of experience in conservation research focused on synthetic polymers identification and ageing studies. I have gained an independent research profile in the study of plastics, foams and rubbers degradation as well as on conservation practice and development of preventive strategies for such polymers. I am an Invited Assistant Professor at DCR FCT NOVA and co-founder of NEON Art Conservation Lda., the first company based in Lisbon dedicated to the conservation of modern and contemporary materials.
