Researcher
Faezeh Fathi (Asal) is a researcher at REQUIMTE/LAQV. She has eight years of industrial and ten years of academic experience in field of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology focused on chemistry of plants and agro-industry by-products, development of micro/nanocarriers, considering green methodologies for its use on food/dermocosmetic products.
Academic experience: 2011, BSc in Applied Chemistry, and 2014, MSc in Phytochemistry, IAU, Shiraz, Iran; 2020, MSc recognition in Quality Control, UP, Portugal; 2021 - Sept., PhD in Phytochemistry, SBU, Iran; 2021 - Dec., cotutelle PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Nutrition and Food Chemistry), UP, Portugal.
Industry experience: 2010, her own company (Hayan Shimi) - recycling gold/silver from wastes, still BSc; 2012 - 2015, training (ISO/HSE) industrial workers/academic students - European Standards - BRS brand, with MSc; 2015 - 2018, R&D member, production leader, technical manager, call center director, and scientific advisor at PTS Group (dermocosmetics area), with PhD; 2015 - 2018, Lab manager and HPLC/GC-MS operator at SBU, researcher at Vashpharma (pharmaceutical company), with PhD.
Winner of 3 competitive grants: 2023 - CEECIND-6th Grant, junior researcher, REQUIMTE/LAQV, FFUP; 2019 - Research grant, REQUIMTE/LAQV, FFUP; 2018 - Belt and Road, Shanghai Dermatology Hospital and FDU - (she selected REQUIMTE/LAQV).
Recipient of 3 awards: 2024 - Excellent in Reviewing; 2022 - Distinguished speaker, Nano Intellects 2022; 2018 - Youngest director of OTC products marketing.
She continued her career, after PhD at same area by implementation of MD and AI (training at CAU).
Brief scientific achievements: 3 patents; 3 products in market; 18 published papers; 24 presentations at national/international conferences (oral/poster); 24 supervisors, and collaborates in supervision of students both at FFUP and SBU (15 MSc and 6 PhD students, 3 visiting post-Doctoral researchers).
