Joana has a master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from University of Coimbra. She received a full doctoral scholarship under the Research and Development of Drugs (Drugs R&D) Doctoral Program by FCT and Tecnimede Group - SA and she is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a specialization in Pharmaceutical Technology. Her research focuses on the development of subcutaneous biodegradable polymeric new drug delivery systems for controlled release of biopharmaceuticals.
