In 2019, Filipa Pires (FP) received her PhD degree in Biophysics from the NOVA University of Lisbon. Currently, FP is a contracted researcher in LAQV/REQUIMTE, under the project PTDC/EDM/30828/2017, that has been designing new functional materials, namely, magneto-responsive, for biomedical applications.
She is co-author of 7 articles (6 as first-author) published in international peer-reviewed journals and 6 book chapters (5 as first author).
Her research interests encompass the development of smart stimuli-responsive materials that timely control the spatiotemporal release of therapeutics to improve tissue repair and regeneration.
