Diana Gago has a Master's degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering and, recently, was awarded a PhD grant by FCT (Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia). Worked as a researcher at FCT NOVA, synthesizing and evaluating cellulose-based polymers. Started a PhD in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering in 2021, developing cellulose-based ion-exchange membranes for wine protein removal. She won Best Poster Award at the 7th International Polysaccharide Conference (EPNOE 2021). Published 3 articles, two of them as first author.
