Through my academic career, I developed research that targeted the valorisation of industrial byproducts, contributing to a circular and sustainable economy. Currently, I am a Biochemistry phD student at the University of Aveiro. Before, I was a research fellow in the "POTATOPLASTIC" project that aimed to develop biodegradable bioplastic formulations using potato industry byproducts. I have obtained expertise in biomolecules extraction and characterization from agrofood industry byproducts and their application on the development of bioplastics. I also had the opportunity of performing a STSM in the Grenoble INP, which allowed me to investigate about the feasibility of using biodegradable and bioplastic formulations on paper coating.
