PhD in Organic Chemistry in 2005 at the Institute of Organic Chemistry with Centre of Phytochemistry – Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia.
Research interests:
Main: Theoretical study of the mechanism of stereoselective organic reactions, where chiral auxiliaries or organic catalysts assist, using different density functional theory methods. Characterization of all possible intermediates and transition states and rationalization of the factors influencing the stereoselectivity.
Use of different computational approaches for evaluation of possible free radical scavenging mechanisms. Characterization of transition states and products using different media.
