Carla Leite holds a graduation in Marine Science (2017) and a MSc in Toxicology and Ecotoxicology (2019), both from the University of Aveiro. She did a 1 month traineeship at the University of Federico II (Naples, Italy), with the aim to learn histopathological methods. She attended an Advanced Course on Biomarkers at University of Aveiro, from 17th to 21st June 2019. Her areas of expertise are the biochemical and histopathological changes in marine invertebrates under stressful conditions, and also the methods for quantification of trace elements in water and tissues. Carla was a fellow (12 months grant) of the project ASARISAFE and is author of 7 ISI papers (5 published and 2 submitted), 2 oral communications and 2 poster communications.
