Mariana is a Biochemist (BSc and MSc) and specializing in Pharmacology. Currently taking a PhD in Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology. Her main area of study is the renin-angiotensin system, more specifically ACE2, in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Experienced with isolated organ bath technique, animal models and animal handling. Passionate about Health Sciences and Laboratory Animals’ ethics and welfare.
