Ângela has a Bachelor in Biochemistry from the University of Minho and a MSc in Biochemistry from the University of Porto. Ângela’s research interests are pharmacology and neuroscience. She integrated in two teams of four research projects in the field of neurodegeneration (Alzheimer’s and Huntington’s diseases) as a MSc fellow. Ângela is currently a student in the PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (specialty of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy) at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto. During her scientific career, Ângela published six articles peer-reviewed international journals, made four oral presentations, presented one poster, and co-supervised one undergraduate student.
