Ana Sofia Branco dos Santos was born in 1994 in Almada, Portugal. She obtained her B.Sc. in Applied Chemistry at Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia – Universidade Nova de Lisboa in 2015 and her MSc. in Bioorganic Chemistry from de same institution in 2017. In 2018 she was awarded with the Best Master Thesis in Organic Chemistry award from Portuguese Chemical Society. She is currently a student in the PhD programme in Sustainable Chemistry. Regarding publications, she has now published 5 papers in specialized journals. Her research focuses on Sustainable synthesis of heterocyclic compounds, involving metal-catalyzed reactions and N-containing compounds under the guidance of Professor M. Manuel B. Marques and Professor Artur M. S. Silva.
