K. Zalewska Patrício graduated in Organic Chemical Technology at the Silesian University of Technology, Gliwice, Poland in 2009. In 2014 she obtained her PhD in Sustainable Chemistry (Universidade Nova de Lisboa, FCT). She continues as PostDoc researcher in "Cultural Heritage and Responsive Materials" group,(CHARM,also known as Photochemistry and Supramolecular Chemistry Group). Her scientific interest is related with the development of new chiral ionic liquids (CILs) derived from natural scaffolds (aminoacids, nucleobases, bile acids) and their application for chiral discrimination processes, including in asymmetric synthesis and resolution of racemates. Design of polymeric ionic liquids and porous carbons for water purification processes.
