Pedro Brandão received his MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Faculty of Pharmacy - University of Porto, in 2011. Highly committed to the field of Drug Discovery, he is currently undergoing his PhD studies in Chemistry, in the field of Catalysis and Sustainability (CATSUS FCT PhD Programme, under the supervision of Prof. Marta Pineiro - CQC and Department of Chemistry - University of Coimbra; Prof. Anthony J. Burke - LAQV-REQUIMTE and Department of Chemistry - University of Évora; and Dr. Maxim Kuznetsov - CQE and IST, Lisbon). His main focus of work is the discovery of new drug candidates, applying sustainable catalytic methodologies in multicomponent reactions.
