Assistant Professor in the Department of University of Évora. Director of the Master's degree in Chemistry (since 2017. Director of “Química”, the Chemical Bulletin of the Portuguese Society of Chemistry (since 2020). Regularly participates in the organization of scientific events and the promotion and dissemination of chemistry. Member of International Year of Chemistry 2011 National Commitee. Research interests: study of organometallic compounds with nonlinear optical (NLO) properties and as potential anti-tumor agents (synthesis, spectroscopic characterization, electrochemistry and quantum calculations using Density Functional Theory).
