Researcher
Patrícia Bacalhau has a background in supramolecular chemistry and holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Évora. Since 2013, Patrícia engaged the study of the biochemical mechanisms involved in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases. Her main results involved the discovery of a lead compound with therapeutic benefits for AD. She’s a teacher and collaborator of the Chemistry Center at University of Évora.
