Juliana Peixoto completed her MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2019 at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto (FFUP). She is currently working as Research Fellow at ICETA, developing research activities at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto (FFUP) and at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP). Her research interests are mainly focused on food chemistry and food biochemistry, particularly on the chemical and biological characterization of bioactive compounds that can be found in food and food by-products and that might therefore add value to these products. She has published 2 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and 6 proceedings in national and international meetings.
