Back
My name is Karen João, I have an MSc degree in Biotechnology and a BSc degree in Biochemistry, both from FCT-UNL. My master thesis was developed at LNEG, I.P. in the Bioenergy Unit. Posteriorly, I had two research fellowships at ITQB (one fellowship in the Separation and Extraction Technologies Laboratory and the other in the Applied and Environmental Mycology Group). The results obtained during my master thesis and during my first fellowship were published, resulting in 6 original manuscripts and 1 patent.
Currently, I am a Ph.D. student at FFUP in the framework of the Sustainable Chemistry doctoral programme.
