Graduated in Chemistry from the Univ. Santiago de Compostela in 1998, she obtained the title of doctor in that university in 2003. Then she began a 24- month post-doctoral stay at the Univ. Oxford. In 2005 she joined the Univ. A Coruña, where she founded a new research group with the financial aid of the MICINN. In 2011 she moved to the Univ. Aveiro, where she applied her methodologies to the synthesis of C-glycosyl polyphenols. In 2015 she joined the Univ. Almería and from 2019 she is Associate Prof. in the Univ. Oviedo, where she continues developing the concept of green organometallic chemistry.
She has published more than 90 articles, most as the main author, and 5 book chapters. She has supervised 3 PhD thesis and is supervising 3.
