Patrícia Vaz has a PhD in Chemistry at University of Aveiro. She has a bachelor degree in Chemistry and a master degree in Organic Chemistry at the same University. Between 2011 and 2021 she was a research fellow at QOPNA/ LAQV-REQUIMTE and CICECO where the research work focused on synthesis of heterocyclic compounds with biological potential, and synthesis and characterization of organic luminescent dyes. Study of structure-properties relationships of small organic fluorophores.
Her current research interests are in organic synthesis, organic luminescent dyes, supramolecular chemistry with a particular focus on halogen bonding and study of relationships between structure and optical properties of small organic molecules.
