Ana R. F. Carreira holds a degree in Biochemistry and a MSc in Biochemistry from the University of Aveiro, Portugal. Currently, she is a PhD student in Chemical Engineering at CICECO group, University of Aveiro. Her research interests focus on the application of bioremediation for the extration and isolation of metals from wastewaters, resorting to biomass and aqueous two-phase systems.
