PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, specialty of Bromatology and Hydrology, Andreia Freitas is a researcher at the Instituto Nacional de Investigação Agrária e Veterinária – INIAV since 2016. More than 15 years of experience in research and development of methodologies for the detection of veterinary medicine residues in biological samples of animal origin, especially multi-detection and multi-class methods being the field of expertise the Food Safety, with several publications related. Extensive experience in implementation of analytical procedures for the qualitative and quantitative determination of pharmacological active residues, in samples of animal origin, and other contaminants in food products.
