LAQV REQUIMTE

(Chemical) Bonding is what makes life possible

Ana Reis

Back
Dr Reis is graduated in Analytical Chemistry (1997), with MsC in Natural Products and Food Chemistry (2002) and a PhD in Biochemistry (2006) by the University of Aveiro.
Dr Reis’ was a Marie Curie Fellow (2010-2012) and in 2017 she joined the REQUIMTE/LAQV Research Unit integrating the Food Polyphenol Lab to transfer knowledge and expertise in lipids to investigate the interaction of polyphenols with membrane lipids. Through Dr Reis’ collaborative links (SantPau Institute and FMUP) she is also involved in the study of polyphenol cargo in circulating lipoproteins in diabetes.
Dr Reis is an award-winning researcher with the Hermann Esterbauer Award (2012) and Material Science (CICECO) with the Best Showcase Award (2015).
