I have a degree in Analytical Chemistry by University of Aveiro and in 2000 I concluded a master degree in Chemistry of Natural Products. In 2004 obtained my PhD. degree in Organometallic Chemistry at ITQB/UNL under supervision of Prof. Carlos Romão. In 2005, research continued in the field of catalysis as a postdoctoral fellow at CICECO/UA research center. From 2008-2013 I deepened my interests in inorganic chemistry and material science by exploring the chemistry of lanthanides and actinides. Since 2015, I am a researcher at FCT/UNL interested in the development of lanthanide based optical sensors and luminescent-solar concentrators.
Light harvesting using Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells is my most recent passion.
