Rute has a BSc Degree in Forensic and Criminal Sciences from Superior Institute for the Sciences of Health and a MSc Degree in Quality Control from Faculty of Pharmacy of University of Porto. After the conclusion of her MSc Degree, she had a research fellowship at Pharmacognosy Laboratory and, currently, she is a PhD student in Pharmaceutical Sciences (specialty of Phytochemistry and Pharmacognosy) at Faculty of Pharmacy of University of Porto. During her scientific carreer, she published four articles and presented two posters.
