Researcher
Elsa Brandão is a researcher at REQUIMTE/LAQV, contracted with a Junior research grant by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT). Her research is focused on the understanding of the taste properties of polyphenol-rich products and their modulation by economical and sustainable approaches (e.g. polysaccharides). Elsa published 18 articles in peer-reviewed journals and she has also participated in several national and international scientific meetings and workshops. She has been involved in several completed and ongoing projects: BIOPAD, FoodNanoSense, Iberphenol and MOBFOOD and established collaborations with national and international research groups (SupAgro, Montpellier, France) and with portuguese companies (Unicer, Sensetest).
