Manuela Correia holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering, an MSc in Environmental Engineering and a PhD in Engineering Sciences (2004, FEUP). In 1998 she joined the Chemical Engineering Department of ISEP as Assistant, where she is currently Adjunct Professor. Her main research interests include environmental chemistry and food safety, particularly the development of analytical methodologies based on chromatographic techniques (GC-MS, LC-DAD, UHPLC-MS/MS) and different extraction techniques (SPE, SPME, MAE, QuEChERS) for the determination of pesticides, mycotoxins, and pharmaceuticals in food and environmental matrices. She is the author and co-author of 26 papers in international peer-reviewed scientific journals and 4 book chapters.
