Carla Brazinha has a 5 years degree in Chemical Engineering, with a specialization in Biotecnology at IST, UL; a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, specialization in Unit Operations and Transfer Phenomena at FCT NOVA. She was 7 years outside Academia between the degree and the PhD. Her scientific interests are: 1-Characterisation of mixed gases/vapor transport properties of dense films through on-line Mass Spectrometry; 2-Biorefinery of plants, fish and microalgae and 3-Membrane emulsification. She published 32 papers; 3 book chapters; 32 oral communications and 34 poster communications. She had worked or is currently working in 16 projects: 3 European, 5 National directly with companies, 7 National and 1 Bilateral project with ITM, Italy.
