Graduated in Biology and Geology Teaching-Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto. At the same University, presented her PhD thesis in Forensic Sciences (part developed at The James Hutton Institute-Scotland).

Assistant Professor at the University Institute of Health Sciences, being Cocoordinator of the 2nd Cycle of Studies in Forensic Sciences and Erasmus Pedagogical Coordinator in Forensic Sciences. Supervises BSc, MSc, PhD dissertations and the MSc’s supervision is extended to the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto where she teaches in the Forensic Expertise Course.

Researcher at LAQV-REQUIMTE (Pharmacognosy) and at IINFACTS, being a Founding Associate and Treasurer of the Portuguese Association of Forensic Sciences.
