Artur Manuel Bordalo Machado Figueirinha is a assistant professor in Faculty of Pharmacy of University of Coimbra with Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Coimbra (1997); MS in Quality Control, University of Porto (2002) and PhD in Pharmacy, specialty in Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry, University of Coimbra (2012).
His research interests include the study of chemical composition and biological activity of medicinal plants, mainly polyphenols and their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. He also studies new strategies for recovery of waste from plant material.
