Ana Figueiras is Researcher and Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Pharmacy in the University of Coimbra. Her main objective is to combine know-how development during her Ph.D thesis and new strategies for successful drug delivery, especially in what concerns the use of block copolymers and micellar systems in cancer pathologies. She has published some pioneering works in micelleplexes as nanosystems for gene delivery (68 papers in international peer reviewed journals, 2 books and 15 book chapters), corresponding to a h-index of 29.
