Liane Pereira de Meneses obtained her PhD in Biotechnology by NOVA School of Science and Technology 2024. She also has a MSc in Biotechnology (NOVA FCT, 2017) and a BSc in Biomedical Sciences (University of Aveiro, 2015). Since 2018, she has been working with natural deep eutectic systems (NADES), having been involved in multiple research projects in the field. During her PhD she specialized in the stabilization of biological entities, with more focus on proteins, and in production and characterization of novel materials called eutectogels. She currently holds a Junior Researcher position at LAQV-REQUIMTE, and is leading the collaborative project with Boehringer Ingelheim to develop a system for the preservation of antibodies at room temperature. She holds multiple national and international collaborations. At this moment, she has published 14 articles in peer-reviewed journals and 1 book chapter and 1 provisional patent applications. Her work has been presented in multiple international conferences in poster and oral communications.
